XML in Oracle

This 90-minute XML in Oracle presentation describes the primary features of Oracle10g Release 2 XDB. XDB is an Oracle product that provides high performance XML storage and retrieval capabilities. Data can be stored in XML tables, in columns of standard Oracle tables, in Oracle's XML Repository, or in XML documents stored external to the Oracle database. With XDB, Oracle now combines the capabilities and advantages of Oracle relational databases with the capabilities and advantages of XML. Features such as the XMLType datatype, structured versus unstructured XML storage, schema registration, XQuery, and the XML Repository are described. Many code examples are shown to demonstrate these features.
