Training Manager / Lead Oracle Instructor / DBA- Responsibilities include software training and mentoring of students and instructors, developing and maintaining courseware, managing instructors, conducting performance / salary reviews, monitoring instructor quality in the classroom, and class scheduling, Courses were taught using Oracle 8.1.7 on Windows 2000. I developed and taught the entire courseware line for the Oracle SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle DBA, Oracle Backup and Recovery, Oracle Tuning for Administrators, Advanced Oracle SQL, and Advanced Oracle PL/SQL courses. In addition to the above Oracle public and private courses, I developed and taught several 10 week Oracle DBA training programs.

Responsibilities included managing consultants and instructors, conducting performance / salary reviews, monitoring instructor quality in the classroom, and class scheduling along with conducting software training. Managed up to 17 consultants while also working on DBA contracts for various clients. Promoted to Principal Consultant after writing and winning a contract that awarded DRT Systems the distinction of being an Oracle Education Partner (Oracle Approved Education Center, OAEC). Managed the process of building 2 classrooms to support the OAEC contract.
- Additional responsibilities included providing Oracle DBA services to various clients. Client types for all DRT positions included Pharmaceutical, Financial, Insurance, and Manufacturing. Services included installing / maintaining software, creating database objects (tablespaces, tables, indexes, constraints, users, procedures, functions, packages, and triggers), backing up and recovering databases, database performance monitoring and tuning, database security, training developers and end users, and meeting with various levels of management regarding progress of projects. Operating Systems environments included Windows NT and UNIX (AIX, Sun Solaris, and HP/UX). Databases supported included OLTP and Data Warehouses.

Programmer Analyst / Database Technologist- Wrote programs in Fortran and SQL in IBM/MVS, IBM/VM, and VAX/VMS operating system environments. Wrote scripts in JCL, CLIST, and DCL.Datasbases used were SQL/DS, Boeing RIM, DEC RDB, and Oracle. Other responsibilities included providing Oracle DBA and programming services to Boeing departments.
