Oracle Grid Infrastructure Training
Grid Infrastructure is Oracle’s platform for running Oracle 11g and 12c databases (single instance or RAC) and other services (e.g. Apache web servers) in a highly available, fault tolerant, manner. It includes facilities for shared storage (ASM, ASM Clustered File System/ACFS, Cloud FS) and network name and address management that underpin the capability to keep databases, application servers, and third party products running and available at all times.
Database Administrators and OS System Administrators will find this class and Grid Infrastructure essential for running Oracle Databases.
Grid Infrastructure is a required prerequisite installation for all Oracle 12c RAC and ASM installations. It is also required for the Oracle Restart facility.
Grid Infrastructure is the way Oracle is moving, for all databases and application servers. (Have we convinced you that you should learn GI?)
Oracle Certified Master John Watson will teach you how to install and use Grid Infrastructure to manage Oracle Databases. John will also demonstrate that Grid Infrastructure is not necessarily complicated and can indeed make your life simpler. You will however also learn that exploiting its capabilities to the full can give fantastic levels of performance and fault tolerance, at a far lower cost than any competing products.
