Recent Application Express Projects

  • Brown University, Providence R.I. SkillBuilders designed and developed a web-based Energy Efficiency Management system that allows vendors to input estimated energy savings for construction and upgrade projects planned for university buildings. The data is used to calculate Internal Rate of Return for the various projects and compute Greenhouse Gas reduction. University management is automatically notified that new projects are awaiting their review and approval. If a project is approved, it is moved through various workflow stages, including comparing actual savings to the original predicted savings.

    The application was installed in December 2008 and is a vital part of the University's Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Program. It has been quickly adopted as a mission-critical application by Facilities Management and is currently used by vendors/contractors, engineers and Brown Facilities Management personnel.
  • Remmelle Engineering, New Brighton, MN. 2008-2009. Mentored staff on the creation of ApEx applications via transformation of Excel spreadsheets.
  • Rhode Island Oracle Users Group. 2007. Designed and constructed the UG web site, www.rioug.org.
